Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Fly Keeper. By creating an account, you agree to them. They are deliberately short and plain.

The service

Fly Keeper is an inventory tool for cataloging fly-fishing flies. It is currently in a free pilot. Accounts are limited to three fly boxes; flies, colors, hook sizes, photos and friends are unlimited.

Your account

• You must be 13 or older to create an account.
• Provide an email address you control and keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One person per account. Do not impersonate someone else.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Your content

Your collection and photos remain yours. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service — to store your content, and to display it back to you and to anglers you have accepted as friends.

You agree to upload only content you have the right to upload. In particular:

• Photograph your own flies. Do not upload catalog or product images from retailers, manufacturers or other photographers.
• Do not upload anything unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit.
• Pattern names you share with the community are visible to all signed-in anglers. Keep them civil — we may unshare or remove shared names that are offensive, misleading or infringing.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules. If you believe content infringes your copyright, email us and we will address it.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to access other anglers' data, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it in bulk, or use it to send unsolicited messages. If you find a security problem, please tell us rather than exploit it — we will be grateful.

Pricing and future changes

The pilot is free. We may introduce paid tiers with higher box limits later. If we do, existing boxes you have already created will remain accessible and editable; a limit would only restrict creating new ones. We will give notice before any paid tier begins.

Availability

This is an early-stage app run by one person. We aim to keep it available and your data safe, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. Keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.

No warranty

Fly Keeper is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous twelve months — which, during the free pilot, is nothing.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using Fly Keeper and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use Fly Keeper after a change means you accept it.
